The Pieces That Never Make It
Every finished product starts somewhere.
Before a design becomes a finished hat or patch, there are sketches, test cuts, dye experiments, prototypes, and mistakes.
Most of those pieces never make it beyond the workbench.
I couldn't bring myself to throw them away.
Found Along the Journey began as a way to give those pieces a purpose.
Built from the process
These aren't leftovers, they're milestones.
Every piece represents a lesson learned, a design refined, a skill improved.
The same process that creates the products in the collection also creates these small reminders of the journey behind them.
Some lessons come early
Small changes, better results
The pieces that continue the journey
The first Found Along the Journey release will travel north.
During an Alaska cruise in June 2026, a small number of handcrafted leather tokens will be quietly placed along the route.
Some may be found.
Some may never be discovered.
That's part of the story.
Every Token Has a Story
Every Found Along the Journey piece carries a unique serial number.
The number marks where that piece's story began — its release, its place in the process, and the beginning of its journey.
Where that journey takes it from there is largely a mystery.
But when someone shares where they found a piece, or where it has traveled since, that number helps connect one part of the journey to the next.
Over time, that journey, those shared moments, and the memories made along the way become part of the story as well.
AK26-07 — Alaska Release No. 7
One of a small number of pieces created for the Alaska 2026 journey — and the beginning of its story.
Found One?
Every token begins somewhere, but the journey doesn't end there.
If you found one of these pieces, register it below and tell us where it was discovered. Some stay where they're found. Others travel hundreds or thousands of miles before turning up again.
Over time, each registration helps tell the story of where these pieces have been and where they go next.
